Death Valley
Death Valley is the hottest place on earth and has the lowest elevation in North America (-282 feet). It has 3.2 million acres of wilderness and has many adventures in store for those that make the trip. It is truly stunning for photography with each stop better than the last.

"Layers", Death Valley, California, USA. This image was captured on the drive from Los Angeles to Furnace Creek - one of the few spots to stay in the park. A great drive.

"Artists Drive", Death Valley, California, USA. This is a scenic loop through multi-coloured hills and is about 9 miles (14km) long. The setting sun over the Panamint Mountain Range was spectacular.

"Artists Pallett", Death Valley, California, USA. Late afternoon is the time to be here to capture the sun on the West facing hills. It brings out some unbelievable colours in the rocks.

"Zabrinskie Point", Death Valley, California, USA. Zabrinskie Point is the most famous landscape photography location in Death Valley. It is always beautiful and worth a visit at any time, but the sunset and sunrise are great times for photography. There are textures, tones, and interesting shapes in every direction. As access is so easy, I visited multiple times and was never disappointed.
