"Reeds In The Blue" Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada. The steel grey of this impossibly calm pond makes one wonder if it is water or ice? This is one of my all time favourites. It was taken not long after dawn in late October and it had been raining heavily a few minutes before I took the image. Truly a case of being at the right place at the right time.

"First Light" Haliburton Highlands, Ontario, Canada. This was taken just after dawn, mid-summer. The light streaming through the trees seemed to bring the bark to life and light up the forest floor which is normally in shadow.

"It's a Rush" Arrowhead Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada. Near Algonquin Park, a few fallen maple leaves jump out against the black granite.

"Butterscotch Ripple" Arrowhead Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada. The streaks of gold made naming this one easy. I thought the flow of gold and yellow from the leaves through the water and rock made this image really pleasing to the eye. I can almost hear the sound of the water.

"Divine River" Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada. Taken just after dawn in late fall, the soft light brought out the gold in the reeds and the cobalt blue of the water.

"Spyder Parachutes" Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada. This one is a mystery – are the puffs of white actually spider parachutes or a plant that has gone to seed? I vote for spiders! Getting up before dawn to get to the hiking trails in Algonquin Park always seems to result in a few good images. This is one of my favourites and is hanging in our living room where we can enjoy it every day.

"Running Wild" Haliburton Highlands, Ontario, Canada.
