Butterscotch Ripple
Huntsville, Ontario. In Arrowhead Provincial Park, the waterfall's hues echo butterscotch ripple, turning nature into a visual treat.
The name came to me while I was standing in Arrowhead Provincial Park, watching the water cascade over rock. The colour of the falls — that warm amber-gold mixing with cream — looked exactly like butterscotch ripple ice cream swirling in its container.
Arrowhead's waterfall isn't the tallest or the most dramatic in Muskoka, but it's got character. The rock formation splits the water into multiple channels, each finding its own path down.
The surrounding forest provides a frame of deep greens with hints of colour. Transitional moment, summer not quite gone but fall making its intentions clear.
Limited edition Chromaluxe metal print. Ultra gloss finish recommended to bring out the warm caramel and cream tones of the water. Muskoka at its most delicious.
