Hear the Roar
Muskoka, Ontario. These rapids roared and turned gold in the autumn light.
The roar of the water was so loud I couldn't hear myself think. Maybe that was exactly what I needed — to stop thinking and witness. The rapids before me were a churning mass of white water and amber reflections. The surrounding forest had reached its autumn colour, and the warm tones were reflecting off every wet surface, every splash, every curl of foam.
The title came to me while I was still standing there, camera in hand. You don't just see these rapids — you hear them, you feel them. The autumn gold adds warmth to what is essentially raw power. That's what makes this image work for me.
Limited edition Chromaluxe metal print. Ultra gloss finish recommended to enhance the rushing water and the golden tones of autumn light. Feel the thunder.
