La Jolla, California. The sky bursts into warm colours as the sun dips towards the horizon, reflecting onto the Pacific's surface.
There is a reason certain views are called classic. The La Jolla coastline at sunset has earned that designation through countless evenings of spectacular color, and I was fortunate enough to witness one of its finest performances. The sun descended toward the Pacific horizon, painting the sky in waves of gold, orange, pink, and finally deep purple.
The colors were almost theatrical in their intensity. As the sun touched the water, the entire sky seemed to catch fire, reflecting off the Pacific surface in a mirror of warm light.
What makes a sunset classic is not just the colors but the feeling it evokes. Standing on the La Jolla bluff as the day ended, watching the sky perform its nightly transformation, I felt the tension of the day dissolve.
