Bonita Springs, Florida. The sky takes on pastel hues at sunset over the greens of a local golf course.
Florida light filters through humidity and atmosphere in a way that creates colours you simply don't see elsewhere. On this evening, the sky transformed into a pastel palette.
What makes this image work is the pathway stretching toward that glowing horizon. The soft pastels in the sky create a dreamlike quality. The greens themselves seemed to absorb and reflect those sunset hues, taking on subtle lavender and peach tones.
I've titled this “Path to the Sun” because that's what it felt like standing there — a direct route to something magnificent. As a golfer myself, I know that every round offers these moments, when you look up from your ball and realize you're standing in the middle of something beautiful.
