The contrast between the flowing water and the solidity of the autumn forest creates a photograph that is both peaceful and energizing. The rocks, some covered with moss and autumn leaves, provide anchoring points of stillness amidst the flow. Behind and around them, the forest rises in layers of colour.
Images of flowing water feel meditative to me. The silky texture of the long exposure creates a sense of motion frozen in time. In combination with the warmth of the autumn colours, this photograph offers both visual excitement and peace.
