Strings of Gold
Muskoka, Ontario. This long exposure captured the frothy spray rising from the water, and suddenly the spray wasn't white anymore — it was gold. Threads of liquid light hung suspended in the air.
Long exposure photography transforms the familiar. Water we would normally perceive as chaotic, splashing, formless, becomes instead a flowing fabric, motion frozen in time. That golden light elevated this image from technical exercise to something more.
I've titled this piece “Strings of Gold” because that's exactly what I see — threads hanging in the air, woven by constant motion. The Muskoka waterways have given me countless photographs, but this one remains among my favorites.
Limited edition Chromaluxe metal print. Ultra gloss finish recommended to maximize the golden spray and create depth in the flowing water. Light woven by water.
