I found this moose standing in a still pond at the edge of the forest. Moose sightings in Algonquin are never guaranteed — they're common enough that you'll likely see one if you spend a few days in the park, but rare enough that each encounter feels like a gift. I stopped and watched. Since moose are deceptively fast and can be dangerous if they feel threatened. I kept my distance, letting him go about his business while I documented. The forest edge behind him provides context — this is his world, and I'm just a visitor passing through.
