Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the average turnaround time?

Our average turnaround time for printed photographs is 5-7 business days and 7-10 business days for facemount to acrylic and framed prints however, depending on order volume our turnaround time might be a little quicker or longer. Please note that currently Covid is adding around 7 days onto these times. If you require your order by a specific date please contact me. From mid-November to mid-January the production times may also increase due to the holiday season. Please note shipping time is extra.

    What hanging hardware is included?

The hanging hardware included for framed matted prints under glass, metal and canvas is a high-grade braided wire fastened to D-rings, ready to hang. In some cases, due to the weight of the image, D-rings only may be used. The acrylic print comes with a back frame installed for easy hanging. Simply counter sink 1-3 screws with a large head into your wall making sure they are level. The screw head should sit about ½” out of the wall, and the back frame will then rest on the screw(s). The back frame is intended to hang flush to the wall. If you have older walls or special finishes please take this into consideration before installation.

Should I select a gloss, satin, or matte metal finish?

My recommended finish is the gloss white - high gloss finish. The high gloss will have incredible contrast and depth; however, it is prone to reflection particularly if hung directly across from a window or near bright lights. If reflection is a concern, metal prints are available with a matte finish. The matte finish will have slightly less contrast than the gloss white, but will have zero reflection and is recommended for areas where windows will cause reflection or reflection is generally a concern. The satin white option is the “in between” choice – with more contrast than the matte option and less reflection than the gloss white option.

Are other sizes of photographs available?

Yes, additional sizes are available for all formats. My objective is to ensure you receive a photograph that will delight you for years to come. To ensure all images are “tack sharp” there may be a maximum size limitation for the reproduction of some images. Please contact me with specific questions about custom requests.

    Are the images limited editions?

Yes. To ensure that the value of my work increases over time, each piece is printed in a fine art limited edition of 250. Once 250 pieces are produced, the image will never be printed again. Every limited edition piece is signed and numbered and includes a signed certificate of authenticity.

What size of photo should I purchase?

Selecting the correct size of photo for your space makes all the difference. As a rule of thumb art should take up 60% to 75% of the available wall space, i.e wall space that isn’t covered by furniture or moldings. Start by measuring the width and height of your wall and then multiply them by both 0.60 and 0.75. This will give you the range of print sizes that will suit the space. For example: If you have a blank wall that is 9 feet tall and 5 feet wide, you would multiply both 9 and 5 by 0.6 and 0.75. The ideal height of the photo would be between 5.4 to 6.75 and the ideal width would between 3 feet and 3.75 feet.

When hanging photos over furniture, such as a bed, a fireplace, or a couch, it should be between 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of the furniture. You can do a similar calculation here for measuring the ideal photo size above your couch for example. Let’s say your couch is 6 feet wide, multiply 6 by 0.66 and 0.75. Thus, a photo between 3.6 feet and 4.5 feet wide will fit wonderfully above the couch. If you’re hanging your piece above furniture, give it some room to by hanging it between 6 to 12 inches above the top of the furniture.

The middle of the photo should hang about 57 inches from the floor (or at aveage eye level).
